Losing weight while eating carbs is possible if you control your portion sizes, remain in a calorie deficit and exercise regularly and this would be most people's preferred weight loss method as it means not having to give up comfort foods like bread, pasta, rice, muffins, etc. but overloading our bodies with carbs, sugar and processed foods eventually leads to insulin resistance and chronic inflammation, the main causes of type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney problems, athritis, psoriasis and many other health conditions. While you may get away with eating carbs in abundance in your twenties and early thirties, we're seeing more cases of younger people developing chronic illnesses because of over consumption of carbs, sugary foods and processed foods.Don't choose methods that will negatively impact your health as you age.#diet #weightloss #healthierchoices #nutritiontips #chronicillnesses #mealplanning #inflammation #weightmanagement #insulin #arthritis

Can you lose weight while still incorporating carbs into your diet? Of course you can. If you control your portions and make sure that you remain in a calorie deficit and incorporate regular exercise into your lifestyle, you can definitely lose weight while still enjoying your muffins, croissants, and burgers. The problem with this though, is that as we age, we become more and more insulin resistant because we're overloading our bodies with carbs and sugar. And so you're seeing more and more people as young as 35 years old developing type 2 diabetes. And suffering with chronic inflammation as well as hypertension and then having to be dependent on medication. So by reducing the amount of carbs and sugar in your diet and focusing on high protein and high fat foods, you will not only lose weight, but you will heal your body. You will boost your metabolism and your strength and your immune system. I've helped clients with a very high chronic inflammation counts as high as 88. Reduce the inflammation count to 8 within two months just by removing. Bobs and reducing the amount of sugary foods in their diets. If you would like to taste your chronic inflammation count, you can do this by going for a blood test. But I would really urge you to make your health a priority and not just weight loss because if you do that, you're going to reap the benefits in the long term.

The logic? Glucose can be used by all cells, but fructose heads straight to the liver. If you’re trying to lose body fat, are type 2 diabetic, have fatty liver disease, or are pre-diabetic, avoid fruit at all costs. But here’s the real story…Processed sugars are the real culprits behind pre-diabetes, diabetes, and fatty liver disease. The American Diabetes Association actually recommends eating fruit! Why? Because while fruit contains natural sugars, it also has fiber, which slows down sugar absorption and prevents blood sugar spikes.👉 Don’t be fooled by outdated advice.Want to learn more about integrating fruit into your diet the right way? Diabetes myths are still being debunked by our Diabetes Lead, Modupe!MYTH❓: Diabetes is caused by eating too much sugar FACT✅: The chances of developing type 2 diabetes are greater if you are overweight or obese and often, a high-sugar diet is a high calorie diet. Having a high calorie diet can lead to weight gain. Type 1 diabetes isn’t caused by diet or lifestyle choices unlike type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes develops when the cells that produces insulin in the pancreas are destroyed by the immune system. It is not true that diabetes is caused by sugar. To read more diabetes myths in the last part of our series, check out our newsletter: https://lnkd.in/gDu-G-SB

Potassium is essential for various bodily functions. It supports nerve and muscle communication, helps maintain fluid balance, and contributes to heart health by regulating blood pressure. Adequate potassium intake is crucial for preventing conditions like hypertension and supporting overall cardiovascular well-being.A deficiency in potassium, known as hypokalemia, can manifest through symptoms such as muscle weakness, fatigue, cramps, and irregular heartbeats. It underscores the importance of maintaining sufficient potassium levels through a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and other potassium-containing foods.

Sugar-rich diets can lead to weight gain and obesity, increasing the stress on the spine and exacerbating back pain.🍫High sugar intake has been linked to chronic #inflammation, which can worsen pain and discomfort.🍰Sugary foods and beverages can also contribute to the development of conditions like type 2 diabetes, which may lead to nerve damage and further intensify back pain.🍪Additionally, sugary diets often lack the necessary nutrients for maintaining healthy bones and muscles, essential components for a strong and pain-resistant back.🍭Therefore, minimizing sugar intake is crucial for not only preventing weight-related stress on the spine but also reducing inflammation and promoting overall musculoskeletal health, ultimately offering relief and improved well-being for those struggling with back pain.🍷Alcohol consumption can also negatively impact back pain. Excessive alcohol intake can lead to dehydration, which can exacerbate muscle stiffness and discomfort in the back.Follow to get rid of your back pain!#BackPain #BackPainRelief #BackPainTreatment #HealthyLifeStyle
